19-year-old injured in Milwaukee shooting, suspect in custody

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old injured early Sunday morning.

Police say the shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of North 24th Place.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A suspect was taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

The investigation remains ongoing.
