2 arrested after Sussex bank robbery
SUSSEX, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people were arrested after a bank robbery in Sussex on Friday, July 12.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to Landmark Credit Union for a report of a robbery on Tuesday, July 9.
Authorities say a note was passed to the bank employee, and a weapon was implied by the primary male suspect, but not displayed. The suspect fled the area before the deputies arrived. He was last seen on foot.
The sheriff's office says that, through investigative resources, detectives identified two suspects. The sheriff's office says they compared witness statements to data from the Flock Safety traffic cameras and surveillance footage in the area. From this, they identified a vehicle that was involved the robbery, listing to a known associate of the primary suspect.
On Thursday, July 11, the vehicle was recovered, and the associate, 38-year-old Shane Tillman, was taken into custody. Tillman was charged with Robbery of a Financial Institution, and with Threat of a Dangerous Weapon.
On Friday, July 12, 31-year-old Jules Bahler was taken into custody after an arrest warrant was issued. Bahler has been charged with Robbery of a Financial Institution, and Threat of a Dangerous Weapon.
