WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) — A 20-year-old man was hospitalized after West Allis police found him suffering from a gunshot wound late Friday night.

Officers responded around 11 p.m. to a residence in the 2300 block of South 82nd Street for a report of a person who had been shot.

Police found the 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined the shooting itself occurred in the City of Milwaukee.

The case was turned over to the Milwaukee Police Department for further investigation.
