22 Milwaukee restaurants offering special 'Taste and Toast' happy hour menus this week

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There are 22 restaurants participating in Downtown Milwaukee's annual Taste and Toast event. The happy hour event runs 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. until Saturday, March 2. 

 "It's a great opportunity for new guests to come check out our restaurants," said Rachel Wiesner, the Director of Operations for Benson's Restuarant Group. "If you've never been down to the Third Ward, [or] if you're new to the area." 

Onesto, AJ Bombers and On Tap are just three participating restaurants. You can find a full list, along with their special menus, by clicking HERE. 

Try menu favorites, like the cheese curds at On Tap. 

"Because that's a number one seller so that was a gimmie," said Paul Ward, the general manager at On Tap. "From scratch we do the cheese curds." 

Some restaurants and pubs will have new food and drink items for you to try, too. You just might discover your new favorite restaurant during Taste and Toast.
