MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Zoo is hosting the second annual Wild Lights event this December. They spent six weeks installing millions of lights.
"Some of these sculptures have tens-of-thousands of lights on them, and they're heavy," said Jennifer Diliberti-Shea, with the Milwaukee County Zoo.
There are rhinos, elephants, zebras, sea turtles and more. If you brought your family last year, expect to see something new.
"Every year that we are going to host Wild Lights, we'll have new sculptures, so it'll be ever-changing throughout the years," said Diliberti- Shea.
The life-sized animals sparkle and so does the pathway as you stop by each exhibit.
"There's actually 34,000 lights in this section alone," said Diliberti- Shea, as we walked under the aROARa Borealis.
To save, you can purchase tickets ahead of time online.
This Thursday, Dec. 8 and Friday, Dec. 9 is Cheers! Wild Lights, a 21-and-up event with festive drinks and a showing of Christmas Vacation.
