WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office says no one was seriously injured following several multi-vehicle crashes on I-41 during Thursday's winter storm.

Authorities responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. Thursday and determined there were five separate multi-vehicle crashes on I-41 southbound between Highway 28 and County Highway D.

Officials say about 30 vehicles were involved. Multiple people were assessed at the scene, but no serious injuries were reported among the crash scenes.

I-41 was shut down for approximately seven hours. As a result of the closure, officials say a "secondary cluster" of accidents occurred as people attempted to find their own alternate routes. No major injuries were reported in this incident.
