3 people taken to hospital following Pleasant Prairie crash

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash in Pleasant Prairie on Friday, June 19. 

Pleasant Prairie police say two vehicles were involved in the crash at the intersection of State Highway 165 and Sheridan Road.

The preliminary investigation shows the crash happened as one of the vehicles attempted to turn west on State Highway 165, colliding with the other vehicle traveling southbound on Sheridan Road. 

Three individuals were injured, ranging from minor to serious.

Officials say flight for life took one of the drivers to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. The other driver and passenger were also taken to local hospitals. 

Due to the severity of the crash, the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team responded to assist with the investigation. 

The Pleasant Prairie Police department would like to remind motorists of the importance of wearing a seatbelt while drive in a vehicle.
