Man sentenced to 21 years in fatal hit-and-run of 87-year-old on tractor

CBS 58 WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Matthew Brennecke was sentenced Monday, July 27 to 21 years for a hit-and-run crash that killed an 87-year-old man in Waukesha County, according to court records.
Brennecke's sentence includes 11 years of initial confinement followed by 10 years of extended supervision, with credit for 180 days already served.
He was convicted of one count of hit-and-run resulting in death.
Prosecutors say Brennecke was driving an SUV when he struck Allan "Al" Eighmy, who was riding a tractor to Dr. Martin Luther Church to help mow grass on July 15, 2025.
