3 teens in custody after police pull over vehicle for registration violation, discover marijuana and loaded handgun

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three teenagers have been taken into custody after police stopped them for a registration violation and discovered marijuana and a loaded handgun.

Police pulled the vehicle over shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday on 794 at E. Layton Avenue.

Officers searched the vehicle and found marijuana and a loaded handgun underneath the driver's seat.

A 17-year-old Milwaukee teen, a 17-year-old Franklin teen, and a 16-year-old Franklin teen were all taken into custody.

Charges are pending.
