MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Daniel M. Hoan Memorial Bridge is being lit as a menorah for Hanukkah, starting with the lighting of the Shamash and first candle on Wednesday, Dec. 25 at 6 p.m.
The display, organized by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation in partnership with Light the Hoan, will continue nightly throughout the holiday.
The next lighting is scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. with the third candle lit at 4 p.m. on Friday to accommodate Shabbat observance. The menorah lighting will proceed at 6 p.m. nightly through Tuesday, Dec. 31 and conclude with the final candle on Monday, Jan. 1 at 6 p.m.
Organizers encourage the community to light their menorahs alongside the display and participate in this symbolic tradition.
