MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's 3rd St. Market Hall has officially announced an opening date.
In a social media post Wednesday, the food hall said they'll be opening this Friday, Jan. 14.
Hours of operation on opening day are set for 11 a.m.- 9 p.m., with the food hall, bar and activities open to the public.
The space once occupied by the Grand Avenue Mall looks a lot different now. They held a soft opening Thursday for residents, and we got to check out the new restaurants and other activities you'll be able to try.
You can play cornhole, there's a golf swing suite and a selfie museum. It's all part of an ongoing effort to revitalize downtown west of the Milwaukee River.
"Unfortunately it's taken way more than we've wanted to," said General Manager Eric Kay. "Obviously we're all aware of the situation we've been under for the past two years, supply chain issues, things like that. So it's been a project that's been in the works almost four years."
The hall will host more than a dozen vendors, including Dairyland, Greenhouse, Strega, Kawa Ramen & Sushi, Paper Plane Pizza and Sweet Treats among others.
The general manager tells us they're following CDC safety guidelines. Employees will be masked and you'll find sanitation stations throughout.
