$4 grilled cheese and milkshake combo returns to popular Watertown cheese shop on Fridays

WATERTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese is known for many things in Wisconsin. It has some of the best, most unique flavors of cheese spreads and its summer special brings in people from surrounding states to enjoy. 

"My grandpa invented an apricot honey cheese spread. No one else around us has been able to duplicate or make it. That we sell around the country. It is a big-ticket item," said Megan Karl, a fourth-generation owner of the cheese shop.

This past Friday, the line wrapped around the shelves of Swiss and Munster as people waited for the popular $4 grilled cheese and milkshake combo. That's right, just $4 for a milkshake and a grilled cheese sandwich. You get to choose from 30+ cheeses at the counter for your grilled cheese.

The special is only offered on Fridays throughout the summer.

Last week was record breaking as they sold 381 sandwiches and milkshakes.
