44-year-old pedestrian hit and killed in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Racine on Friday, Dec. 6. 

It happened around 6:30 p.m. near Memorial Dr. and Oak St. 

According to the Racine Police Department, upon arrival, they located a 44-year-old man laying between two parked vehicles by the curb. 

The man was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

A couple minutes after, a 19-year-old woman called dispatch and said she hit someone near Memorial and Oak. The 19-year-old was picked up and transported by police. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
