5 dead after single vehicle crash in Dane County

DANE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Five people are dead after a single vehicle crash in Dane County on Friday, Nov. 1. 

It happened near Range Trail, north of Sunset Drive, in the Town of Verona.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was traveling on Range Trail and left the roadway, striking a tree. 

The sheriff's office says the vehicle became fully engulfed with fire and five occupants were pronounced dead on scene. 

The crash is under investigation.
