FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Six children and two adults are being treated for symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, after a 911 call from a homeowner in the Town of Osceola early Wednesday, Sept. 30. 

First responders were called to the home on County Road B just after 2 a.m. after the caller reported multiple people experiencing symptoms. 

The children- ages 4, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, and 17, were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with severe symptoms. The sheriff's office says a 46-year-old man and 42-year-old woman were also transported for treatment. 

The incident remains under investigation.
