70-year-old woman charged with disorderly conduct after threatening staff at Richmond School
Waukesha County Sheriff\'s Department WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 70-year-old woman was charged with disorderly conduct after threatening staff at Richmond School in the Village of Lisbon.
According to the criminal complaint, on Monday, Dec. 1, the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department responded to Richmond School for a reported threats complaint.
A teacher at the school told police that several students came up and said that there was a dog on school grounds. The teacher saw a group of students surrounding the dog and a woman, identified as 70-year-old Judith Plough, walk up and start talking to the group of students.
Police say the teacher was informed by students that Plough was swearing and was upset, stating if she went to the school she would shoot the teachers. Plough then threatened the students to not tell the teachers about the incident, implying she would cause harm with her hand going across her neck, according to the complaint.
Police interviewed the students involved in the incident and they stated that a dog ran away from a neighboring home and the students grabbed it, preventing it from running away again. The students said an elderly woman approached them and started swearing at the students and teachers, saying that if she ever comes to the school, she will shoot the teachers. She then threatened them not to tell the teachers about the incident, making a throat splitting gesture according to the complaint.
Deputies made contact with Plough, and she was taken into custody. She denies cursing or making threats to the school staff or children.
She was charged with one count of disorderly conduct.
