81st Annual Holiday Folk Fair International celebrates cultural heritage at Wisconsin State Fair Park
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The 81st Annual Holiday Folk Fair International is bringing the world’s cultures to Wisconsin this November, with more than 50 cultural groups participating. Hosted at the Exposition Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, the three-day festival (Nov. 22-24) invites attendees to “Celebrate the Culture of Traditional Art,” this year’s theme that highlights the timeless beauty of cultural expression.
“We are the largest indoor multi-cultural event in the United States,” said Donna Roeber, festival organizer.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a vibrant array of cultural traditions through performances, exhibits, and food from all corners of the globe. The Holiday Folk Fair is known for its immersive experience, offering something for everyone—whether it’s music, dance, or cuisine.
“When someone comes in and talks to a native person from another culture, and you can see that they are interacting— it is such a special moment,” Roeber said.
Whether you’re enjoying a traditional dance, sampling international cuisine, or engaging in conversation with a cultural ambassador, the Holiday Folk Fair International is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the world’s diversity in one place.
