MPD: 19-year-old arrested after striking squad car, injuring officer near 27th and Wells

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Milwaukee police arrested a man after a squad car was rear-ended, sending an officer to the hospital on Saturday, June 19 near 27th and Wells. 

Milwaukee police say it happened at 3:50 a.m. 

The victim officer is a 31-year-old man with over five years of service.

Police say he was rear-ended early Saturday morning.

The officer was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect, a 19-year-old man, is currently in custody regarding this incident.
