WISCONSIN (CBS 58) — If Week 7 proved anything, it's that no ranking, undefeated record or home-field advantage is safe in Wisconsin high school football.

Friday night brought one of the most chaotic slates of the season, with Division 1 No. 1 Arrowhead falling in overtime, No. 2 Bay Port suffering its first loss, Division 2 No. 2 Homestead getting stunned by Wisconsin Lutheran and several other ranked teams going down across the state.

At the same time, a number of undefeated contenders survived the chaos and moved one week closer to perfect regular seasons.

The biggest result in southeastern Wisconsin came in Hartland, where top-ranked Arrowhead hosted Division 1 No. 5 Muskego on homecoming night.

The Warhawks entered Friday unbeaten, but Muskego walked into one of the toughest environments in the state and pulled off a 22-20 overtime victory.

The win was a significant response for the Warriors, whose only loss came against Oconomowoc earlier in the season.

Arrowhead and Muskego both moved to 6-1, and the result will create a major shakeup near the top of Division 1. Pasted markdown

Arrowhead wasn't the only Division 1 powerhouse to fall.

By the end of Friday night, Week 7 had completely changed the landscape in several divisions.

Arrowhead, Bay Port, Homestead, Plymouth, Shiocton and Glenwood City all entered the night without a loss and walked away with their first defeats.

Muskego earned perhaps the biggest win of the night by taking down No. 1 Arrowhead in overtime. West De Pere strengthened its case as one of Division 1's elite teams by beating Bay Port on the road. Wisconsin Lutheran shocked Homestead by one point. West Bend West took down Plymouth, while Coleman didn't just upset Shiocton — it shut the previously unbeaten Chiefs out.

Yet amid all the chaos, plenty of perfect seasons survived.

Sussex Hamilton, West De Pere, Pewaukee, Port Washington, Union Grove, Notre Dame Academy, Winneconne, Freedom, Lomira, Monona Grove, Amherst, Stratford, New Richmond, Northwestern, Durand-Arkansaw, La Crosse Logan, Cochrane-Fountain City, Darlington and West Salem all emerged from Week 7 without a blemish.

At this point in the season, however, perfection is becoming increasingly difficult to protect.

Three regular-season weeks remain, conference races are reaching their most important stages and postseason positioning is becoming impossible to ignore.

Week 7 served as the clearest reminder yet that no team can afford to overlook anyone.

The rankings will change.

The list of unbeaten teams will shrink.

And after one of the wildest Fridays of the season, Wisconsin high school football is heading toward the postseason with plenty left to settle.
