We're approaching a daylight milestone tomorrow. That's when our sunset is back up to eight o clock on the dot! Then, we'll have sunsets prior to 8pm until next May, check it out:
After we reached the latest sunsets of the year around and just after the summer solstice with our latest sunset in the city at 8:35pm, we've now lost over half hour of evening light. Here's how the rest of the month shakes out as we lose about 2 minutes of daylight per day. As you can see by the month's end sunsets are before 7:30pm. The real kick comes when we "fall back" returning to standard time November 3rd. At that point sunset comes in at 4:40pm. Then our earliest sunset of the year bottoms out shortly before the Winter Solstice coming in at 4:17pm. Between this news and the crisp feel in today's weather, it sure feels like Fall is right around the corner!I'm meteorologist Rebecca Schuld
