Saturday Afternoon Update:

Lake effect snow is expected the first part of Sunday into the afternoon. It could dump a few inches, at least, in favored lakeside areas.  Watch for slick spots in Racine and Kenosha Counties. Highs will only be in the low teens so don't expect much melting at all. Stay tuned to CBS 58 on air and online for all the details.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--You might not feel it, but we're starting to round the corner with the temperatures. I think the core of the cold air is passing us. Look for the Cold Weather Advisory to hold all morning long.  It'll feel close to -30 for some Saturday morning.  Please limit your time outside to just a few minutes. Watch the pets as well. Keep them inside as best you can. Looks like the opportunity for lake effect snow will increase on Sunday. A slight accumulation is possible, especially lakeside. Otherwise, the cold will remain to be the big story of the week with highs mainly in the teens. Lows in the single digits with some below zero. Perhaps we'll hit 25 degrees a week from Monday, Groundhog Day. I don't see any major snow system coming our way in the next week or so either.
