Mid-Morning Update: Snow flies into the afternoon then turning colder & windy
10:15 AM Update as of Saturday, January 10th...
Just put up with the snow for a few more hours. We have one heavier band to move through the metro during the next hour. Then the snowfall should subside from west to east into the afternoon. The Winter Weather Advisory holds until 1 PM. There's a Winter Storm Warning for Door County into Sunday morning by the way. They could easily see more than a half foot of snow. Totals for us are between 1 and 3 inches generally speaking. It turns windier and colder into the second part of the afternoon and evening. Please watch for slick spots on the roads.

8 AM Update on Saturday, January 10th...
Snow encompasses much of the area. Look out for some snow-covered roads, especially away from the lakeside communities. Please watch your speeds and make sure you're using your low-beam headlights. A few inches could fall into the afternoon before the precip tappers off. Maybe a few more snow showers this evening into the overnight as well.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--We're running just about 3.5 inches below normal for snowfall for the month in case you were wondering. Of course no snow on Friday with record highs in the upper 50s. But colder air is working into the region on Saturday. Look for periods of light snow throughout the day. It could start with a bit of rain too. Snow should wrap up into the evening but not before giving us a few inches. Highs will be in the mid 30s. The gustier winds will make it feel colder into Saturday night. Heading to the Packers-Bears game in Chicago, dress for winter. Wind chill numbers will be near 20. The snow should be done by then.
Looking ahead into next week, it seems temperatures are all over the place with highs in the 30s to start then 40s and then 20s later in the week. Could see some rain on Tuesday, switching over to a mix into early Wednesday followed by a better chance of snow late in the week.
