Above average on rain for the month but below for the year as another round of rain arrives
Hopefully you enjoyed the last few dry days because we will be done with that for a bit. After a few sprinkles on Tuesday we have a better chance for a soaking rain Wednesday. Showers start to roll in Wednesday morning with some steady rain possible from mid-morning through the afternoon.
How much steady rain we get will greatly impact the rain totals. But they have trended higher over the last 24 hours with most of southeast Wisconsin now expected to see 0.25-0.75" of rain through Thursday morning.
Going into the potential for a soaking rain Wednesday we are currently above average on rainfall for May but below average on total precipitation for the year. In fact, an interesting stat for today is that we are above average on rainfall for May by the same amount that we are below average for the year. May is 0.72" above average on rainfall but 2025 is 0.72" below average.
After Wednesday's rain we could see a few more isolated showers Thursday, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Friday also has a chance for showers and storms, once again in the afternoon/evening.
