Active weather following a quiet weekend with 2 days of storms to start the work week
Updated: Sunday, May 19th 8:00pm:
Two rounds of severe weather are possible Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening. The best chance for severe weather on Monday will be within the Level 2 of 5, Slight Risk, from Milwaukee to Illinois. Damaging wind and hail would be the main concerns.
Attention then turns to Tuesday where a more significant round of severe weather is possible in the evening. There is some uncertainty as to whether or not there will be a 9am-12pm round of showers and storms on Tuesday. If this round materializes, it will eat up some instability and lessen the severity of the evening round of storms.
If we remain dry with some sunshine most of Tuesday, widespread damaging winds, large hail, and isolated embedded tornadoes would all be a concern Tuesday evening. A level 3 of 5, Enhanced Risk, is in place to our west while most of SE WI is under a Level 2 Risk as of Sunday evening.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--In terms of timing, you can't get much better. Nice weather for the weekend, storms to start the week. We have chances both Monday and Tuesday before the weather quiets down for most of the week until we get into the upcoming holiday weekend. Storm chances will increase for Saturday, possibly into Sunday as well. Highs most of the week will stay on the mild side, mainly in the 70s. But 80s are possible on Monday.
