MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Emmy-nominated Peter Billingsley, who played the starring role of Ralphie in the 1983 film "A Christmas Story," will host a screening of the holiday classic at the Pabst Theater. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. It includes a pre-show meet and greet, the film screening and a moderated Q&A where Billingsley will share behind-the-scenes stories.

Though the showing takes place after Christmas, fans can still bring their secret decoder rings and relive the quest for a Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle with their families.

Audience members might "triple dog dare" one another to tell stories about their own family memories that parallel the film, perhaps even the first time they "didn't say 'fudge.'"

The evening also features a Toy for Tots fundraiser, along with the giveaway of a leg lamp, or as the Ralphie's old man called it, "a major award."

Billingsley co-wrote, produced and starred in the sequel, "A Christmas Story Christmas" in 2022, and has also produced films like "Iron Man" and directed "Couples Retreat."

Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 18 through the Pabst Theater’s website. Click here for more information.
