Admirals crush Griffins, tie series at 1-1

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Admirals defended home ice with authority Monday night, crushing the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-2.

The win evens the best-of-five Central Division Final up at one win a piece.

The Ads jumped on the Griffins early with two first period goals and never looked back.

Five different players scored Milwaukee's goals while Yaroslav Askarov had 27 saves in the win.

Now the series shifts to Grand Rapids for games three and four Wednesday and Friday before a winner-take-all game five back in Milwaukee Sunday if needed.
