After a light Christmas snow, our attention turns to a hefty rainmaker

Milwaukee (CBS 58)--Well, we got our wish.  A little bit of Christmas snow.  Now we wait for a sloppy, wet system on Thursday.  It could start and end with a little bit of wintry mix, perhaps accumulating to a slight amount into early Thursday.  Rainfall amounts could easily exceed 3/4".

This particular storm will wrap up later Friday when we'll see a changeover to some light snow into the evening hours.  For the weekend, it should be fairly dry and chillier with highs in the 20s.  New Year's Eve could see a little more wintry mix and then it looks like winter really comes back to us late next week to kick off January with even colder weather.
