Alex Trebek thanks fans for well wishes

Before the start of Thursday's Jeopardy! episode, Alex Trebek shared a special message with fans.

"I wanted to say a quick thank you to the hundreds of thousands of people who have sent emails, texts, tweets, and cards wishing me well regarding my health," said Alex Trebek.

Earlier this month, Trebek announced he was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer.

He says he plans to work during his treatment.
