GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- All lanes of I-43 north have reopened. Delays are still expected through the evening commute.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, the crash was first reported at 11:55 a.m. An investigation showed that one semi was disabled and parked in the right distress lane. The semi driver said he was parked for about two minutes before he was hit from behind by the second semi driving at freeway speeds.
The semi driver who caused the crash told officials he reached down for a sandwich and "the next thing he knew he rear-ended" the semi. The driver was ticketed for inattentive driving and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the semi that was hit was not injured.
