'An absolute honor': JJ Watt announces he's retiring from the NFL

GLENDALE, Ariz. (CBS 58) -- It appears to be the end of an era for NFL star JJ Watt.

On Tuesday, Dec. 27, the Pewaukee native Watt tweeted, "Koa’s first ever NFL game. My last ever NFL home game. My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure."

Watt is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and a seven-time All-Pro who starred for the Badgers before being drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2011 draft.

This is a developing story. Stick with CBS 58 on air and online for updates.
