Annual Girls in Aviation Day held at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A lot of Milwaukee girls have their head in the clouds after a fun day at the airport on Saturday, Sept. 28. 

Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport teamed up with Women in Aviation and Alaska Airlines to host its annual Girls in Aviation Day. 

More than 60 girls between the ages of 12-18 got to meet with air traffic controllers, pilots, and other women in aviation careers. 

The free event also included a rare tour of the air traffic control center, and the chance to try out aircraft simulators.
