Another round of light snow possible on New Year's Eve

NOW: Another round of light snow possible on New Year’s Eve
NEXT:

Our light snow train continues this week as the snow totals start to add up. After picking up 1-3" of snow Sunday into Monday we saw another 1-2" of fluffy snow across southeast Wisconsin on Tuesday. Most of the snow was very fluffy which made it easy to shovel but can also make the roads and sidewalks quite slick.

After a dry start to your Wednesday and New Year's Eve we will see snow chances return from mid-morning through the afternoon. Once again the snow looks fairly fluffy but with temps a bit warmer there could be a touch more water content. The best chance for snow will be around the I-94 corridor and south with some northern counties only see a few showers.

Some of the snow will once again accumulate with around a half inch of snow or less. Communities near the IL border could get a bit more with over half inch in spots and under a half inch of snow will be possible in some northern counties.

The snow should wrap up by the time most of us are heading to New Year's Eve parties this evening. As the snow ends the clouds will clear out and temperatures will drop. Look for midnight temps around 10 with wind chills dropping to 0 or colder.
