Another violent weekend in Milwaukee as 17 people are injured across 14 confirmed shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)  -- Seventeen people were injured in 14 separate shootings throughout Milwaukee this weekend as the city continues to grapple with a rise in violent crimes over the last few months.

The following spans confirmed shootings between Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20.

Saturday, June 19

1:38 a.m., Water and Juneau -- 1 injured

Milwaukee police say a woman accidentally shot herself during a large fight on Water and Juneau Saturday, June 19. Police say a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman sustained a non-fatal gunshot injury at 1:38 a.m. According to police, the woman discharged her firearm during the fight, subsequently shooting herself. Police are seeking unknown suspects and witnesses to this incident. Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the upcoming days.

1:46 a.m., 20th and Hadley -- 2 injured

Milwaukee police are investigating a double shooting that happened near 20th and Hadley on Saturday, June 19. Police say a 60-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were shot at 1:46 a.m. The victims were transported to a local hospital for non-fatal gunshot injuries. Police say the shooting appears to be the result of a fight. Police are seeking an unknown suspect.

3:15 a.m., 30th & Lisbon --- 1 injured

Milwaukee police say a suspect is in custody following a shooting near Lisbon and 30th on Saturday, June 19. According to police, the victim, a 24-year-old man, was shot at 3:15 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital for non-fatal injuries. Police say the shooting was the result of prior shots fired in the area. A 30-year-old Milwaukee man has since been arrested.

6:05 a.m., 32nd and Vine -- 1 injured

Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened near 32nd and Vine on Saturday, June 19. Police say a 26-year-old woman was shot shortly after 6 a.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. Police say the scene of the shooting and circumstances are under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.

4:46 p.m., 51st and Marion -- 2 injured

Milwaukee police say a double shooting happened near 51st and Marion on Saturday, June 19. Police say two 19-year-old Milwaukee men were shot at 4:46 p.m. The victims were transported to local hospitals for non-life threatening gunshot injuries. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.

5:50 p.m., 42nd and Garfield -- 1 injured

Milwaukee police say a 19-year-old man was shot near 42nd and Garfield on Saturday, June 19. It happened at 5:50 p.m. Police say the victim arrived at a local hospital with a non-fatal gunshot injury. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.

8:48 p.m., 25th and State -- 2 injured

Milwaukee police say two 28-year-old Milwaukee men were shot near 25th and State on Saturday, June 19. It happened at 8:48 p.m. Police say the victims were transported to a local hospital for non-fatal gunshot injuries. The shooting is a result of an argument. Police say both victims were armed and shot each other.

10:05 p.m., 11th and Lapham -- 1 injured

Milwaukee police say a 25-year-old man was shot near 11th and Lapham at 10:05 p.m. on Saturday, June 19.Police say he was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.

Sunday, June 20

2:55 a.m., Juneau and Milwaukee -- 1 injured

Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened near Juneau and Milwaukee on Sunday, June 20.Police say a 19-year-old woman was shot at 2:55 a.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-fatal gunshot injuries. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.

3:30 a.m., Location unknown -- 1 injured

Milwaukee police say a 29-year-old Milwaukee man was shot at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 20. Police say the location and circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. The victim arrived at a local hospital for non-fatal gunshot injuries. Police are seeking unknown suspects.

4:20 a.m., 31st and Grant -- 1 injured

Milwaukee police say a 50-year-old man was shot near 31st and Grant on Sunday, June 20. It happened at 4:20 a.m. Police say he was transported to a local hospital for non-fatal gunshot injuries. The shooting is the result of a prior argument. Police are seeking unknown suspects.

8:50 p.m., 12th and Meinecke -- 1 injured

According to police, a 52-year-old Milwaukee man was shot near N. 12th St. and W. Meinecke Ave. around 8:50 p.m. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The incident stemmed from an earlier argument. Police continue to seek a known suspect. 

11 p.m., 13th and Mitchell -- 1 injured

Around 11 p.m., a 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting near S. 13th St. and W. Mitchell Ave. The victim appeared at the hospital and was treated. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. 

11:52 p.m., 27th and Kilbourne -- 1 injured 

A 47-year-old woman suffered non-life threating injuries following a shooting near N. 27th St. and W. Kilbourn Ave. around 11:52 p.m. The shooting occurred after an argument the victim was uninvolved with. She was transported to a local hospital. Police continue to seek a known suspect.
