Fire leaves 30 to 40 people displaced near 96th and Hampton, 3 firefighters injured

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a fire on Wednesday, Dec. 6. 

The fire happened at an apartment building near 96th and Hampton. 

The Milwaukee Fire Department said the fire started in an apartment and spread down the hall. According to the MFD, 30-40 people are displaced and the Red Cross was called. 

MFD said that three firefighters were injured. Two were taken to the hospital. One of the firefighters was transported for burns to their hands, the other had first and second degree burns to the face. 

No residents were transported to the hospital.
