Ascension Wisconsin holds ribbon-cutting ceremony at new Waukesha neighborhood hospital
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Ascension Wisconsin marked the opening of its new 33,000 square foot neighborhood hospital in Waukesha Tuesday, Oct. 5, with a ceremonial blessing and ribbon-cutting.
The hospital, located at 2325 Fox Run Boulevard, Suite 100, will offer emergency, inpatient and outpatient care, and lab and medical imaging services on the first floor. On the second floor, an Ascension Medical Group clinic will include primary care, women's health, cardiology, behavioral health and other specialty services.
The new hospital will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Ascension Wisconsin says the facility is fully licensed, CMS-accredited and in-network with most commercial providers. Medicaid and Medicare will also be accepted.
This is the third neighborhood hospital the health system has opened in the last six weeks.
Ascension Wisconsin's first neighborhood hospital opened in Menomonee Falls on Aug. 31 and its Greenfield location opened on Sept. 15.
The site opens to patients on Wednesday, Oct. 13.
