Attention to those that suffer from allergies. We have officially entered ragweed season. According to the Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center the ragweed season started on August 7th. This is pretty much the average start of the ragweed season so we are right on time. In addition to medium weed pollen levels, mold is currently at high levels but the tree and grass allergy seasons are over with none reported.
In an average season the peak of ragweed will happen at the end of August but can sometimes linger through September. Given how long and record breaking the tree pollen season lasted it will be interesting to see how long the ragweed season also lasts.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track any rain that could knock down pollen levels.
