MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Friends and family of a hit-and-run victim honored her memory Wednesday night, Jan. 12, with a balloon release.
A car struck 20-year-old Donniesha Harris after she was dropped off at a bus stop near 108th and Morgan.
Tuesday night police spotted the suspect's car and eventually arrested the 54-year-old Milwaukee man.
Harris' family say they still can't believe she is gone, but Wednesday's news of an arrest did bring some closure.
"Right now it don't seem real," said Donterrio Harris, Donniesha's father. "I'm glad there was some good news in the case. It won't bring her back but it did bring some closure."
The family is raising money for her funeral. You can find the GoFundMe by clicking here.
