HARTLAND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Ahead of the holiday season, Batteries Plus is once again teaming up with Duracell and Toys for Tots.
The battery retailer is pledging to donate over one million batteries to the US Marines Toys for Tots campaign.
This will allow the campaign to power up thousands of toys that will be given to children across the country.
Leaders from all parties gathered on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Batteries Plus headquarters in Hartland to describe what this donation means for the Toys for Tots mission.
"So, you think many many toys are coming to kids and they have batteries not included. So, you got this Christmas morning or whatever holiday you celebrate, and you need that to power up the lives, so we've been able to do that which is a great thing that really resonates with our customers," said Scott Williams, CEO with Batteries Plus.
This is Batteries Plus' largest donation yet in its five-year partnership with the Toys for Tots campaign.
