Bay View fitness studio offers heated HIIT and yoga classes
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Among the woman-owned businesses that can be found locally in the Milwaukee community, a Bay View fitness studio is offering high-intensity interval training and yoga classes in heated environments, with temperatures reaching up to 100 degrees.
Healium HIIT and Yoga Studios, located on Kinnickinnic Avenue, provides heated workouts designed to enhance flexibility and increase intensity. Robyn Lucks, co-owner of Healium Hot Yoga, said the temperature range varies between 85 and 100 degrees, depending on the class.
"It warms the muscles, makes it a little easier to stretch," Lucks said. "To me, I love it. It just feels good. You sweat a bunch, especially when it’s really cold outside."
Lucks demonstrated exercises from a typical HIIT class, including standing bicep curls, Arnold presses and reverse lunges. She emphasized maintaining proper form and breathing throughout the workout.
Healium Hot Yoga and HIIT Studios offer approximately 70 classes per week across multiple locations. Class schedules and additional information can be found by clicking here and by checking out the studio’s social media pages.
