MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee-based organization is working to provide mental health resources for Black and Brown communities. Black Space, founded to address disparities in mental wellness, offers services designed to support individuals facing systemic barriers to care.
Darius Smith and Dr. Lia Knox of Black Space joined us to chat about the organization’s mission on Monday, Feb. 24.
They spoke about its origins, the importance of culturally competent mental health services and ongoing community outreach efforts, as well as plans for 2025, including expanding community programming and increasing awareness of available resources.
