Blast to the past this National Retro Day at Milwaukee's largest estate warehouse
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Behind an unmarked door is Milwaukee's largest estate warehouse, where you can find everything from clothing and jewelry to home decor and toys.
"All the thrifters out there love it it's all about coming and having fun and seeing what you can find," said Feliciano Martinez, Chano's Warehouse Owner.
According to the National Day Calendar, in 2017, Feb. 27 was marked as National Retro Day to encourage people to remember what life was like before social media.
That's exactly what you'll find at Chano's Warehouse.
"We do full clear-outs, partial and full cleanouts from anything from a business to a house," said Martinez.
Feliciano Martinez has run the shop with his wife, Maria, for six years.
"Anything that is resalable, we bring it in," said Martinez.
This 13-thousand-square-foot warehouse is home to nearly a million items.
"Here, you will find any piece of furniture from an antique to modern," said Martinez.
Martinez cleans out full closets and says they always have new pieces for you to explore.
"There's probably over 1,500 square feet of clothing in the clothing department. We have everything from your grandma to the new brands," said Martinez.
He says there is only one way to find a hidden gem.
"You just have to start digging and see what you can find," said Martinez.
Once you find your buried treasure, Martinez says every price is negotiable.
"Well made, great brands and you can't find them for a cheap price anywhere else," said Martinez.
Chano's Warehouse is open weekend from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
