MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Downtown Milwaukee saw another traditional holiday display open to the public Monday, Dec. 2.
Volunteers transformed the lobby of the BMO Harris Bank on North Water Street into an elaborate display.
This year's 47th annual event features 30 live trees and 150 life-sized Steiff animals. "Our theme is, 'It's a Super Duper Holiday,'" said Kara Kaiser of BMO Harris Bank.
Every year during the holidays, a different animated display is created featuring the giant Steiff animals. This year, they're dressed up like superheroes celebrating Christmas.
"There's a tribute here to Thor and actually she's in the form of a woman," said Kaiser. "Her name is Thunder here, and she's got a really amazing outfit on and her own little vignette in the corner, and I really like that one I think."
The BMO Harris display is free and open to the public until Jan. 2.
BMO Harris Bank is also making a $30,000 donation to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin as part of its holiday gift to Milwaukee.
