MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man is now charged with intimidating a victim after allegedly using a jail tablet to message his victim repeatedly.

Police say after being taken into custody on charges of strangulation and suffocation and battery in February, Damian Cosme-Torres started to make phone calls and send messages from jail to his victim, attempting to get her to drop the charges.

As the case moved ahead, prosecutors say his messages became more violent.

Cosme-Torres is due back in court at the end of October.
