Boston Store liquidation sale starts Friday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Bon-Ton Stores Inc. announced Thursday that going out of business sales will begin Friday, April 20 in 212 stores including Bon-Ton, Bergner's, Boston Store, Carson's, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers nameplates.
The liquidation sales are expected to run for approximately 10 to 12 weeks until the stores close. Bon-Ton currently has 250 stores, but 38 of them are already in liquidation.
Bon-Ton has not said how the closures will impact store credit cards. Experts say there's still a good chance the bank that issued the credit card will close it. Customers are still on the hook for any debt and cardholders' credit could take a hit as well.
Experts do not recommend being proactive and closing the account on your own.
