WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Some of the best-known names in Milwaukee Brewers history are in town tonight. Pitchers like Moose Haas, Rollie Fingers and Jim Slaton just to name a few. All for the world premiere of the new Brewers documentary, "Just a Bit Outside." It was Hollywood, Wisconsin, complete with a blue carpet.  The stars walking it are all from the 1982 team that took the Brewers to their one and only trip to the World Series.

The documentary "Just a Bit Outside" captures an incredible year in Milwaukee sports history - 1982 - and the players that felt a deep connection to one another.

"Like a family and still are, I mean we could be away for five years, 10 years, get back together and just needle everybody like we used to back in those days," said Moose Haas, 1982 Brewers Pitcher.

Moose Haas lives in Phoenix now. So does Jim Slaton. Both point to Milwaukee fans as a cherished memory.

"They had a parade for us after we lost the seventh game in the World Series and that just doesn't happen," said Jim Slaton, 1982 Brewers Pitcher.

Some 42 years later, fans filled the Marcus Majestic Cinema in Waukesha Wednesday night, Sept. 11.

"Seeing some people around here with my uniform top on, Paul Molitor's uniform, Robin Yount's uniform, you know the Milwaukee fans were great when we played here. I loved them and I mean, this town was baseball crazy," said Rollie Fingers, 1982 Brewers Pitcher.

Rollie Fingers was looking forward to seeing the documentary.

"It's gonna be fun looking at some old footage and see what we looked like when we were a little bit younger, so it'll be fun."

"I don't know, I think you look the same," said CBS 58's Michele Fiore.

"Oh, I wish. Still got the mustache, the signature mustache. Still got the mustache. I've had it ever since I grew it, so I've had it some 53 years or something like that so," said Fingers.

Tickets were just under $200 for the blue carpet premiere. Christine Zoltowski says it was worth it.

"Went to the '82 series. And to me, it's like I'm 30 years old again. This is unbelievable to see Paul Molitor and Simba and Gorman," said Zoltowski.

She was lucky enough to get her jersey signed at the premiere.

"The jersey I have was a gift from the company I worked when I retired. It will go with me to my grave," said Zoltowski.

Marcus Cinemas has 20 theatres in Wisconsin. "Just a Bit Outside" is playing at 13 of them.

"I mean this is unbelievable I got to be honest with you. It's a world premiere and its exclusive at Marcus Theatres," said Clint Wisialowski of Marcus Cinemas.

Thursday's show is already sold out. Some seats are still available for the weekend. You can get them at marcustheatres.com, on the app, or at your local box office.
