Brewers hoping to turn things around to start second half of season

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Brewers are back in town after the All-Star break to begin the second half of the season. The homestand starts Friday when they begin a three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:10 p.m. The Crew’s first night back in action will feature a strapback hat giveaway. Following the series against the Dodgers, Milwaukee will close out the stand by hosting the Washington Nationals in a three-game set, beginning on Monday, July 23 at 7:10 p.m.

Friday, July 20 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – 7:10 p.m.
Strapback Hat, Presented by American Family Insurance – The first 20,000 fans will receive a Brewers strapback hat.

Student Night – Every Friday home game, high school and college students can purchase $10 Terrace Reserved or $15 Loge Bleachers tickets and enjoy special deals on food and beverages through the end of the first inning.

Miller Light Beerpen – Every Friday home game, fans 21+ who sit in the Miller Lite Beerpen in the right-field Loge Bleachers will receive a free Brewers T-shirt, courtesy of Miller Lite.

Saturday, July 21 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – 6:10 p.m.
5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk - The 5K Run/Walk will be held at Miller Park at 8 a.m. tomorrow. All participants receive a Brewers ticket voucher, commemorative T-shirt featuring the Johnsonville Famous Polish Sausage and complimentary food & beverage courtesy of MillerCoors, Aquafina, and Johnsonville. The unique course offers all in attendance the opportunity to go onto the same stadium warning track used by the NL-leading Brew Crew. Proceeds benefit BCF and Fisher House Wisconsin. Major League Baseball is matching the first $15,000 raised in support of Fisher House. The event is presented by Brewers Community Foundation Leadership Council - Aurora Health Care, BMO Harris Bank, Delta Dental, Harley-Davidson, Johnson Controls, Lubar & Co., MillerCoors, Northwestern Mutual, We Energies and West Bend.

Miracle League of Milwaukee Visit - Members of the Milwaukee Brewers will pay a visit to the Miracle League of Milwaukee. On that day, several current and former Brewers will take the field with kids and help coach, encourage, motivate and cheer them on. The Miracle League gives kids with special needs the ability to play the game of baseball. The organization allows all children to play organized baseball, regardless of their ability. Kids with special needs dress in uniforms, make plays in the field and round the bases, just like all kids who enjoy the game in any league. All games are played on a custom-designed fields, which feature a cushioned, rubberized and completely flat surface that aims to prevent injuries and allows access for the visually impaired and those in wheelchairs. All areas of the field, including the dugouts and restrooms, are universally accessible.

Community Achievers presented by Meijer - The Milwaukee Brewers community involvement initiative, known as the “Community Achievers Award presented by Meijer,” recognizes residents throughout the state of Wisconsin each month during the season for displaying extraordinary efforts in their community. On July 23, Danika Tramburg will be recognized as July’s community achiever. Danika will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before prior to the contest.

Tuesday, July 24 vs. Washington Nationals: 7:10 p.m.
Walk of Fame/Wall of Honor Inductions – The Brewers will honor two of the most prolific left-handed power hitters in franchise history – Geoff Jenkins and Prince Fielder – and the two longest-tenured general managers – Harry Dalton and Doug Melvin. Jenkins will have a plaque installed on Miller Park’s Walk of Fame while Dalton, Fielder and Melvin will have plaques of their own installed in the Brewers Wall of Honor located on at the Hot Corner entrance.

Brewers Wives Volunteer for Ronald McDonald House’s Lunch 2 Go Program – Brewers Wives will help pack lunches at the Ronald McDonald House for their Lunch-2-Go program. The Lunch-2-Go program provides brown bag “to-go” lunches for guests of the Ronald McDonald House. The goal of the program is to eliminate both the worry and the cost of a lunch for families residing in the House. Three times a week, Lunch-2-Go volunteers prepare items that families can pack into individualized brown bag lunches and take on their way out.

Wednesday, July 25 vs. Washington Nationals – 1:10 p.m.
Kids & Seniors Discount Day – Kids 14 and under and seniors 60+ save 50% on tickets.

Senior Stroll, Presented by WPS Health Insurance – Following the game, fans 60+ are invited to come down to the field and walk the outfield warning track.
