Brewers release Opening Day details; Selig to throw out first pitch
With Opening Day less than a week away, the Milwaukee Brewers have released more details about the festivities planned for April 6th.
Tickets for the game are sold out, but remain available for the rest of the first homestand. Parking lots will open at 10 a.m. on Opening Day, with gates to the ballpark opening at 10:40. There are no detours related to the “zipper merge” near the Zoo Interchange Project and the team will not be offering overflow parking at Wisconsin State Fair Park this year, so drivers are encouraged to leave plenty of time to get to the ballpark.
The Brewers are reminding fans that new security procedures will mean that all fans must go through metal detectors before entering Miller Park, so you're encouraged to leave additional time for that.
The 13th Annual Klement's Opening Day First Brat Relay Race, featuring the famous Racing Sausages, will begin at 10 a.m. at the Klement's plant on Chase Avenue.
Retired Commissioner Emeritus of MLB and former Brewers owner Bud Selig will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Brew Crew takes on the Colorado Rockies.
