MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers used every minute of the MLB trade deadline before making a few moves to add to the pitching rotation and bullpen.

The first deal came with National League Central Division rival St. Louis for starting right-handed pitcher Dustin May and left-handed reliever JoJo Romero.

The 28-year-old May has been in the majors since 2019 with the Los Angeles Dodgers and is now on a one-year deal with the Cardinals. He pitched against the Brewers twice this season, taking a no-hitter into the 8th inning in May. He has a 4.38 ERA in 21 starts this season.

Romero is a 29-year-old reliever currently on the 15-day injured list, last pitching on July 12. He has a 3.35 ERA in 44 games. He's in the final year before hitting free agency next season.

The final trade of the day for the Brewers was with the Colorado Rockies for right-handed reliever Antonio Senzatela. The 31-year-old has spent his entire 10-year career with the Rockies. In 34 games, he has a 3.61 ERA with four holds and three saves in eight opportunities. He's in the final year of a five-year $50.5 million deal with a club option for 2027, per Spotrac.

The Brewers only sent out minor leaguers in the deals. For May and Romero, the Brewers sent outfielder prospects Alexander Frias and Josiah Rigsdale. For Senzatela, it's infielder Juan Martinez and left-handed pitcher Mark Manfredi.
