Brewers trade for catcher William Contreras

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers made an off-season move, bringing in catcher William Contreras.

Brother of former Cubs catcher Willson Contreras, William spent the first three seasons of this career in Atlanta with the Braves.

Last season, in just under 100 games, he put up a .278 batting average with 20 homers and 45 RBIs, earning an All-Star appearance.

We're still waiting for the final details of the trade to come out, but we do know prospect Esteury Ruiz is being moved to Oakland in the deal.

He was one of the players Milwaukee got in exchange for Josh Hader at the trade deadline last season.
