'Bringin' on the heartbreak': Def Leppard with Tesla to headline Summerfest opening day

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Def Leppard, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of rock’s most enduring acts, will headline the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on Thursday, June 19, 2025 during Summerfest’s opening day.

The concert will feature special guest Tesla.

Known for hits such as "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Photograph" and "Love Bites," Def Leppard has sold more than 110 million albums worldwide. The band’s popular albums Pyromania and Hysteria each earned U.S. Diamond certification.

According to a press release from Summerfest, since Def Leppard debuted their catalog on streaming platforms in 2018, the band has amassed 5.5 billion streams.

Tesla is a band known for hit albums that include 1986's Mechanical Resonance and 1989's The Great Radio Controversy, albums that included Billboard chart hits like "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Little Suzi."

Tickets, which include Summerfest admission on the day of the performance, go on sale Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. More information can be found by clicking here.
